Welcoming a new family member is always such an exciting experience for everyone in the family. The energy and good vibes, specially with younger ones knowing that they are about to become big brothers or sisters, cannot be mistaken. I was very happy that Lama and Anan decided to hire me as their maternity photographer here in Dubai. The shoot was actually quite special and memorable; the family was closing a chapter and moving on from the house they lived in for eight years, to start a new chapter, with a new baby, in a completely different home. So, it was truly a very special time having them show me around their home, doing their favorite things, hanging out by the pool. It was a cold and cloudy day, so unfortunately, no swimming was involved, but we had a great time nonetheless.

Lama and Anan, thank you for your trust, and I wish you all the best in the coming weeks as your family moves from it's current four members to a beautiful five.

I remember when I met Erica and Dan for this session, we talked a lot about our experiences as expats in Dubai. Seeing as I was raised in the United Arab Emirates, and spent most of my life here, I always love hearing about other people's experiences, and find that almost 90% of the time, people who move here, always find it really hard to leave once they've settled down. The beauty of living in the UAE is the safety, the convenience, and the fact that we get to raise our kids in a truly multicultural society, and have the rare ability to raise them to be really open and accepting. Lucky for Taylor, he gets to have such an incredible experience to look back on when he's older. Not only that, but it will be the place where he started one of the most exciting chapters of his life: becoming a big brother for the very first time. How incredibly exciting!
